Pricing and quotes

How much will the job cost?

Every job is priced upfront in writing before any work begins, and the call out itself costs $0. The figure on the quote is the figure on the invoice, with no hourly meter running and no overtime rates at night or on weekends.

Do you charge extra for nights, weekends or public holidays?

No. A job is priced the same way regardless of when it happens, so a Sunday-night burst pipe carries the same pricing structure as a Tuesday-morning repair, with the fixed quote written down before any work starts. See how a full job runs on the home page.

How does the fixed quote actually work?

Your plumber inspects the job, runs whatever diagnosis it genuinely needs, then hands you a single fixed written price covering the complete fix. If you decline the quote, you owe nothing, because the assessment and call out cost you $0.

Emergencies and after hours

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Water pouring from a ceiling or burst pipe, a toilet overflowing with sewage, a gas smell anywhere in the house, or a hot water system leaking badly all qualify. If water, gas or sewage is moving somewhere it should not be, call immediately. Our emergency plumbing team takes these calls day and night.

How fast can you get here?

We work these streets constantly rather than commuting in from across Sydney, so the van reaching you has usually just finished a job nearby. For genuine emergencies we prioritise the call and give you an honest arrival window upfront.

What should I do while I wait for the plumber?

Turn off the water at the meter for a burst or major leak, shut the gas at the meter if you can smell gas and leave the area, and for a leaking hot water system close the unit's isolation valve. Then ring us and we'll talk you through it. More guidance lives on our pages for a toilet overflowing, no hot water and gas leaks.

Drains, hot water and general work

Why do my drains keep blocking?

Mature trees on the suburb's large leafy blocks push roots into older earthenware clay drains, which crack and gap with age. Clearing the blockage treats the symptom, so if it keeps returning we camera the line and fix the entry point properly. Start with blocked drains or a CCTV drain inspection.

Repair or replace my hot water system?

If the tank itself is leaking, the unit is well past its service life or repairs are stacking up, replacement usually wins. A newer system with a single failed valve, element or thermostat is normally worth repairing. Our hot water repair and hot water replacement pages set out both paths.

Can you work on older Federation and interwar homes?

Constantly. Double-brick and weatherboard homes from the early decades of last century make up much of the local housing stock, so older clay drains, original pipe runs and renovation-era pipework are our everyday work, not an exception. Our residential plumbing service covers the full range.

Are your plumbers licensed and insured?

Yes. Every plumber on the team works under licence #275278C with full insurance behind every job, and the compliance certificates your paperwork needs arrive with the invoice, including for gas and hot water work.

Is your work guaranteed?

Every job is backed by our Lifetime Labour Warranty. If something we have done is not right, we come back and fix it, no questions and no cost, whether that is two months or twenty years later.

Coverage and the local area

Which areas do you cover?

We service the whole suburb and the neighbours around it, including Thornleigh, Beecroft, Cheltenham, Normanhurst and West Pennant Hills. If you are on the boundary, ring and ask, because the answer is almost always yes. We also handle planned work like maintenance plumbing and leak detection across the same footprint.

Do leafy blocks really cause more drainage problems?

They genuinely do. Autumn leaf-fall from the heavy canopy clogs gutters and stormwater pits, and roots from mature trees hunt out the moisture in ageing sewer joints below. Summer thunderstorms then test every weak point at once. That seasonal cycle is why our drainage crew stays busy across the seasons.

Can you help with a renovation or new appliance?

Yes, from bathrooms and kitchens through to dishwasher and appliance installation. Older homes here often carry gas pipework and fittings that need inspecting before a renovation connects new appliances, so we check that as part of the job rather than after. See bathroom plumbing, kitchen plumbing and appliance installation.

Still have a question?

Ring (02) 9072 0520 any hour and a licensed plumber will answer, tell you what the problem likely means and give you a fixed written price before any work begins. Prefer to read first? Everything we do, from emergency callouts to hot water and drainage, is laid out across Pennant Hills.
